It's an antique small plate.

This plate will look great no matter what you put in it. This is a small plate from the 1800s by Jean, who specialized in imaginary animals.

Personally, I think it was a soap dish, but it may have been used to hold small snacks for an aperitif.

The beautiful yellow color really stands out against the white, and the design is mysteriously beautiful.
