This top is made from a delicate cotton fabric and crochet lace. To accommodate the volume at the back of the waist and the long silhouette of the skirt, it is short and fastens tightly just below what we would now call the underbust. The buttons in this area are a little tight, but in return, the bust area is fuller, creating a feminine style.
