The jagged tape that you occasionally find is used as a motif to create a cute etoile pattern. This etoile motif can also be found used as decoration for culottes of the time.
These were originally large crosses that were split into several pieces as scraps. We are buying all the pieces we find at the same time in an attempt to revive them, but some of the motifs are torn off, so we are selling them as scraps as they are.
