This is an antique jacket.

Military costume made of durable toile.

I think he probably wore a badge around his neck.

The back of the waist has a streamlined pattern that neatly follows the curve of the back of the waist. I think there was a special button to match the costume, but when I found it, it had been replaced with a larger knuckle button. This is wonderful. There is a stain under the left armpit.
