A playful umbrella-shaped object that stores needles. This is a souvenir from that time.
It opens by turning the top. Each one has a slightly different design.
The ones with hand carvings have a peephole in the bridge where you can see a postcard-like photo inside. The big one is dieppe, which is the name of a place in the Normandy region.
