This is a very sturdy leather clasp bag. It was a professional bag used for collecting money at the time.
The belt is not original, but I personally think it's fine as it is. The belt deteriorates more quickly with use than the bag itself, so I was worried it might break if I were to use it again in the future. The belt is made longer by connecting two pieces, but it's still quite long.
