This cotton skirt was originally used as a petticoat. The hem is generously decorated with embroidered lace for a more showy look. The silhouette of the time was created by cinching only the back of the waist to create volume. The back is slightly longer, and the fabric is also voluminous. The lace is luxuriously arranged in three layers.
As was the case back then, it can be layered under a skirt in autumn and winter, and worn alone in spring and summer.
There is damage to the lace at the back of the hem. There is a pinhole near the waist where a seam was undone, and a repaired hole on the left side.
