January 16, 2025
I had the opportunity to participate in an atelier exhibition at Jeanne Valet in Daikanyama, Tokyo, which is said to be a pioneer in European vintage clothing, known only to those in the know.
Actually, was it the second time? The third time? I can't remember which. But I've done it a few times.
But this time, it's my first time!
This was a memorable episode.
It all started when I met the owner, who I'd known for a long time since my time in Japan, in Paris and we had tea and talked about doing it again. We spent the time daydreaming and before we knew it, the end of the year was here. In the end, we sent a flurry of packages and, even after returning home, we went back and forth to prepare. It was quite a challenge, but
Thanks to everyone who came, we were able to get through it safely.
Thank you very much.
It was originally scheduled for four days from the 16th to the 19th,
Maybe it was because I was absent-minded, but the products didn't last for four days, so I felt bad for the customers who had come all the way there and there was nothing to see, so I closed the store a day early.
I'm really sorry to those who had plans for Sunday.
Even so, for me it was an enormous amount of work, and during the preparation period I kept telling the staff, "I did my best! I did my best!!!"
And because it's being held in Tokyo, as someone who has had the opportunity to interact with people all over Japan, I feel a bit sorry that we'll only be broadcasting to certain areas, such as Kansai, Kyushu, Tohoku, and Hokuriku! (Someday... hmm, I wonder if there will be a time?)
It's been said many times before, but the excitement on the first day was incredible.
It was a battlefield. I had nowhere to be, so I just stared out the window.
On the last day, I was so tired from standing work that I wasn't used to, that I thought, "I've got to take a break along the way, otherwise I won't make it home," so I ate a hamburger steak to replenish my energy, but was kicked out at the last order, and finally got home exhausted.
Wow, being young is great! The staff members were radiant. They were cute! And they were capable, so it was great. (I want one!)
I've written a lot, but that's my impression today. This is how 2025 will start.
Thank you for your continued support this year.
